We’ve been working with startups and young technology companies since 2015. As part of the Space3ac program, we provide financial support and mentoring to entrepreneurs as well as a chance to implement their innovative solutions in large companies with an established market position. Space3ac is the only Polish program that is listed on the Startup Heatmap Europe ranking among the 90 most trusted accelerators in Europe. By the end of 2020, Space3ac will have supported over 130 startups, of which 103 can be called full graduates of the program. The sum of funding provided by Space3ac will exceed PLN 23 million.
In 2020, graduates of the Space3ac accelerator started 43 pilot implementations, of which 21 have already been completed. Thanks to the accelerator’s support, 2 graduates continue their cooperation on commercial terms and 12 are negotiating the final terms of the commercial use with Technology Recipients. Only 3 out of 21 teams ending the acceleration program this year have suspended negotiations due to COVID-19. Additionally, some teams started looking for investments to increase the scale of their operations. Two contracts were signed during the pandemic.
The Surveily team has signed a contract for a project to develop an MVP system for automating the supervision of health and safety processes using artificial intelligence and machine vision. The system enables the analysis of multiple image streams in real-time to predict and prevent accidents. The value of the investment exceeds PLN 1 million.
Symmetrical.ai is an automated financial advisor that offers employees several tools: wages on demand (access to already earned funds in a given period), employee loans with zero interest, and an automated financial trainer to help them make the right financial decisions. The team received financing of PLN 25 million for further activities.
We hope that 2020 will be a great year and that we will achieve even better results. We closely observe what is happening on the market and try to adapt our offer to the new realities, so that we can constantly share knowledge and tips with startups and corporations. Our goal is to allow cooperation between them no matter the situation because, as our experience shows, it is beneficial for everyone. The most important task for the coming year will be preparing the next editions of Space3ac. We are currently working on several projects and hopefully, we will be able to share our first successes in the coming weeks.
